Fostering in Halton
Want to be a foster carer in Halton? With over 4,000 children waiting to be adopted in the North West, we are urgently searching for local Halton and surrounding area foster carers to come forward and help provide a warm, loving, stable family environment for children and young people in care.
Open up your home and heart and become a foster carer for Lorimer Fostering today! You can help change a young person’s life for the better! Fostering is much more than simply putting a roof over someone’s head. Being a foster carer allows children and young people who are unable to live with their own family an opportunity to thrive in a secure and loving home.
Children and young people may need foster care for a variety of reasons, for example family illness, a family breakdown or being at risk of harm. To cater for their individual needs and unique situations, we offer different types of fostering placements including: teenagers, children with a disability, sibling groups, or mother and baby placements.
At Lorimer Fostering Halton we will work hard to ensure we find the right type of placement that most suits you and your family. You do not need any specific qualifications to be a successful foster carer. At Lorimer Fostering, we welcome enquiries from people from all walks of life. You may be married, single, lesbian, gay, heterosexual, divorced or co-habiting. Fostering is not based on the colour of your skin or religious beliefs. It isn’t about whether you own or rent your home or whether you already have children. Fostering is about what you, as a person, have to offer to a child, being able to respond to their needs and helping them to make sense of their situation and thrive.
Lorimer Fostering has been supporting foster carers in England for over 15 years and as one of the most well established and experienced independent fostering agencies, we would love for you to join our team. We urgently need more foster carers for children of all ages in and around the Halton area. We will be with you every step of your fostering journey, offering support, guidance and advice day and night. All Lorimer foster carers receive a professional fee for your skills (anything from £20,000 to £60,000 per year depending on the number of placements). In addition, you will have the support of a qualified and experienced social worker and there are regular support groups where carers like yourself meet throughout the year.
Do you have a spare bedroom? Can you provide a safe, welcoming and loving home? Are you energetic, patient and understanding with a good sense of humour?!
