Who we are:
Lorimer Foster Services (Trading as Lorimer Fostering) are an Independent Fostering Agency striving to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people. Our office is based in Sale, Manchester servicing the North West region.
When do we collect personal information from you?
We collect information from you visit our website, when you wish to enquire further about becoming a foster carer or you download our company brochure. We would also collect information from you if you leave a comment on one of our blog posts.
What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?
We only collect personal data from you with your consent and for the purpose intended. This information includes:

- Email address
- Phone number (only if you would like us to call you back)
- Home address (only if you would like us to send you a brochure)
- Comments (you have the choice to type freely in this field should you wish, i.e. specific questions relating to fostering)

Should you ever pursue being a foster carer with any other agency they will need to contact us for a reference, as per the Fostering Regulations 2011. At enquiry stage we can only ever confirm the following:
- That you enquired with our agency
- What date this was
- Why the enquiry was closed
We use third-party website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release information when it’s release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property or safety.

Secure members area
Only our current foster carers will receive access to a private account. Upon approval of a Form F Assessment they will be provided with a username and password with which they can access the following:
- Company policies and procedures
- Assessment documentation
- Templates needed to help carry out their day to day duties
- Access to our training calendar where they can book on future training courses
Should you be given access to this secure section then please ensure that your username and passwords remain confidential and never share these with a third party.
You have a choice as to whether or not you would like to receive future information from us. Where we ask for personal information there will be opt-in boxes and should you wish to receive future direct email marketing from us to relating to fostering and the work Lorimer are doing then please tick the box. If you do not wish to hear from us then please leave this unticked.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you so not wish to be contacted this way.
