Whether you fancy a change of career, have always dreamed of fostering or have a spare room since your children flew the nest and still have that nurturing urge, fostering is an extremely rewarding journey. There are different types of fostering placements and children of different ages and backgrounds. At Lorimer we will work hard to find the best placement to suit you and your family; whether it be short or long term fostering, emergency or short break fostering or perhaps mother and baby placements.
At Lorimer we aim to provide a service that is responsive to the needs of children, young people and families in the geographical areas of Oldham and surrounding areas. Based in Manchester, we are only a stone’s throw away and are available night and day to respond to any queries or concerns. We want children to live rich, rewarding and fulfilled lives and in order to achieve this we need to provide a supportive, rewarding package for foster carers too. As a professional foster carer for Lorimer, you will receive a financial package (from £20,000 to £60,000 per year, depending on the number of placements), regular visits from our social workers and form part of a team of people working closely to provide the best for the child or children in your care.
