Foster Care Fortnight 2023 – Fostering Communities
Foster Care Fortnight 2023 is The Fostering Network‘s campaign to help raise the profile of fostering in the UK. This year, it will take place from Monday 15th to Sunday 28th May.
The theme for FCF is ‘Fostering Communities’. This years theme is the same as last years as a huge amount of positive feedback was given as members felt that the theme gave them an opportunity to shine a light on fostering.
We want the general public to appreciate and comprehend fostering and the beneficial impact it can have on young people’s lives. With more people becoming aware of the issue, we hope to improve support for fostering, combat stigma associated with children in foster care, and inspire more individuals to think about fostering.
What to Expect
We know how fantastic the fostering community is, and we want to highlight that over the Fostering Communities two-week campaign. We’re inviting all young people, birth children, Foster Carers, their family members, and the wider support network to participate and share their experiences of being a part of the fostering community. This is a fantastic chance for everyone to be heard and give insight into the world of fostering, demonstrating how we can all work together to improve the lives of children and teenagers in care.
Send us images, make a short video or just write a few sentences that we can use if you prefer. Anything that you can send us will be greatly appreciated and will really help us with our campaign for this year.
