Lorimer Fostering are seeking an experienced social worker with significant expertise in fostering to work as our Agency Decision Maker.

The role is mainly remotely based and therefore applicants from outwith the North West of England are also encouraged to apply.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate as the role is integral to the operation of the agency.

ABOUT YOU

You will have a recognised and accredited Social Work qualification and valid Social Work England registration.

In-depth experience of working within a fostering service for young people is required. You will also need to have extensive knowledge of the relevant legislation.

Your report writing skills must be exceptional.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Agency Decision Maker you will review Foster Carer Reviews and Applications to Foster, and clearly, methodically and safely make decisions on the applicant/foster carer’s suitability to foster.

THE PACKAGE

• £160 per Foster Carer Review decision
• £200 per Allegation decision
• £250 per Application to Foster decision
• Circa £6,000 – £7,000 per annum on average
