Top Free Places Foster Carers can take Children in Lancashire
Lancashire Fostering
The month of January is never a favourite one….it always feels like payday is a lifetime away! Well over the next two weeks I want to share with you some fun but FREE activity ideas foster carers can do with the children and young people, both indoors and outdoors, so January no longer becomes a drain on your purse/wallet! There are lots of great choices for foster carers who are part of a Lancashire fostering agency.
Let’s highlight the Lancashire outdoors today! Lancashire is crammed with lovely rural areas you can walk, cycle and take in the beautiful scenery. Here I have selected just a few of the top locations to visit:
- Park View, Lytham
- Stanley Park, Blackpool
- Fairhaven Lake, Lytham St Annes
- Witton Country Park, Blackburn
- Townley Hall Art Gallery, Museum & Park, Burnley
- Thompson Park, Burnley
- Worden Park, Leyland
- Withy Grove Park, Bamber Bridge
- Cuerden Valley Park, Preston
- Brockholes, Preston
There are lots of great ideas for places to visit there so plan ahead and take a visit this weekend! Making up a few sandwiches beforehand is always a play safe with children, it can make the day more fun for them and saves those pennies for you!
Lancashire is a wonderful county and it is always great to get the kids outdoors and in the fresh air where possible, but typical Northern weather doesn’t always allow for this. Make sure you are prepared for all types of weather with raincoats and wellies and sun cream in the Summer. But don’t worry there are plenty of interesting indoor activities like Museums that will be fun and educational, you may even learn something yourself. If, as is normally the case in the UK, the weather isn’t that great then please keep your eye out as I will be touching on some indoor activities to do over the coming days!
If you are interested in joining our Lancashire fostering agency then please get in touch. We would love to speak to you!
