Lorimer Fostering Tradition

Wow can’t believe it is that time of year again; this can only mean one thing…..it’s the Lorimer Fostering annual Christmas Card Competition, yay!!! This has somewhat become a tradition at our agency with the foster carers and young people looking forward to putting their creative head (worzel gummidge style)!

The competition was open to both foster children and birth children and is judged by two categories; 0 to 10 years and 11 years and over, with winners from each category.

The competition is a great opportunity for the children, not only because they are in with a good chance of winning high street vouchers but because it allows them to spend some quality time with their foster carers/parents coming up with ideas for their Christmas cards…you can’t beat getting all crafty on a Sunday afternoon!

 

This Years Entries

The entries this year were amazing, such a high standard as always. We have some very talented young people amongst us, we were really impressed! Just to show you how talented they are, here is a sample of the entries that were sent in:

Winners

The winners have already been selected by the staff at our Head Office; there is one winner from each category, both winning high street vouchers and 10 professionally printed cards with their design on the front. Don’t worry we didn’t leave anyone out as those that weren’t chosen all receive a goodie bag of treats for their fantastic effort!
