Treetop Trek Adventure – a Fun Day Out with Lorimer!
We had a super fun and exciting day out with some of our young people last week! Together we visited Heaton Park in Manchester to do the Treetop Trek adventure and nets. We all met at the entrance a little while before the activity started so that staff, Foster Carers and young people could all catch up and say hello to each other.
When it was our turn, we made our way inside to be given a quick brief from the staff before we got started to make sure we were all safe and prepared. Claire, Zoe and Beth then headed through with the young people to get their harnesses fitted; whilst Tiffany and the other children went out onto the nets.
Once everyone was fitted with the correct gear, the instructor lead the group out to begin their treetop adventure! There were lots of different obstacles to be overcome; and it was lovely to see everyone encouraging and helping each other out. The afternoon was spent climbing up high through the treetops, whizzing across ziplines and spotting squirrels running all around!
Whilst some of the group were enjoying the Treetop Trek; Tiffany and the younger ones made the most of their time on the Nets Adventure! There were lots of slides and different routes for them to take and explore. Look at the fab pictures below – doesn’t it look like so much fun!?
The group were all very disappointed when the activity ended; as they had all been enjoying themselves so much! Young people and staff are already very much looking forward to planning the next event.
