Voice in a Million
We are proud to be sponsoring ‘Voice in a Million’ which is a record breaking project pioneered by Classic Media Group and in association with BAAF. The project is to record an album consisting of one million children’s voices all singing in harmony; to reach the one million record-breaking target there will be a series of events throughout the UK starting with a concert at the O2 arena on 28th January, where 4,000 children will be singing to an audience of approx 12,000. A series of events will then take place in Sheffield, Liverpool, Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Cardiff arenas with different children singing at each event.
The aim is to raise awareness of all the children who have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment in their lives. It’s for those children who need a new family to care for them.
‘Voice in a Million’ has a strong backing from a whole heap of celebrities such as Sir Elton John, Sinitta and Rolf Harris plus many more. Some of the stars from the X Factor paid a visit to the children whilst they were holding a rehersal session; Lloyd Daniels, Jamie Archer and Danyl Johnson created quite a stir when they popped into the studios to see the children:
The first three singles, recorded by soloists from the Voice in a Million choir, have now been recorded and the promotional videos have been released; to view these videos you can visit the Voice in a Million page on You Tube: www.youtube.com/VoiceInAMillion.
The tracks will be available worldwide from www.voiceinamillion.com or iTunes and all good download stores on 9th November 2009.
