Join a Lancashire Fostering Agency
With over 62,000 children living with foster families across the UK and a further 8,600 foster carers still needed this year alone, could you provide the supportive, stable and caring home needed for these vulnerable children? We are actively recruiting for foster carers in and around the Lancashire region to join our Lancashire fostering agency.
If you are considering Lancashire fostering, find out more about the fostering process by contacting Lorimer Fostering today. We welcome applications from both new and experienced foster carers, and people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. Becoming a foster carer is certainly not an easy decision to make; you have to be energetic, patient and have an exceptional commitment to care. Fostering is a challenging career but it brings with it so many rewards and gives you the opportunity to make a huge difference to the life of a child or teenager.
Fostering is a way of providing a stable, secure, loving and caring environment for children and young people who are unable to live with their own families. There may be a variety of reasons why children cannot live with their families. Many of the children and young people have been faced with uncertainty throughout their lives; others have been abused or neglected. Whatever their situation, it can be a very difficult time for them and it would be your role as a carer to provide the support and care they need to make sense of their position and be able to thrive.
There are different types of fostering, from short term emergency care to supporting a child until they reach adult age and are ready to be independent. You have to decide what type of fostering most suits you and your family.
When you become a foster carer with Lorimer Fostering you are not alone! You will form part of a supportive network of people from therapists and social workers to education officers. Together we work hard across Lancashire and the North West to support you and help you be the best foster carer you can be!
Our extensive, experienced and friendly team is passionate about giving foster carers the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to care for even the most challenging children.
